The FSA has released some new statistics which reveal that PPI refunds now totals £319m, covering a period between January and July 2011. The statistics have been based on 16 firms, who accounted for 92% of PPI complaints during the first half of the year.

Of key importance is that July’s redress alone was £104m, which is significantly more than the previous months.
